Dangerous Goods Security Level 1

Objectives

Level 1 is relevant to personnel who follow these policies and procedures, such as drivers, warehouse staff, traffic office staff, etc.

Delegates will also have a better understanding of:

• the threat facing the carriage of dangerous goods and how it is assessed
• the vulnerabilities surrounding the carriage of dangerous goods
• their role in implementing and maintaining effective security

Content

• The nature of security risks
• Understanding of the types pf terrorist organisations
• The types of threats relating to dangerous goods industry
• Identification and understanding of vulnerabilities
• Security roles, procedures and policies
• Security plans and emergency procedures
• Cyber security

Following completion of this course, there is also a test.

Upon completion and passing of this test, delegates will be issued with an Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) certificate.

No previous dangerous goods or security experience is required for this course.
